The Premier SAWA Cultural Event in the Diaspora
Location:2, Cross Green Way, Cross Green Industrial Estate | Leeds | LS9 0SE
About the Event
NGOND'A SAWA O UK 2024 is the largest SAWA cultural celebration in the diaspora, designed to showcase the rich traditions of the SAWA people and engage with pressing community issues.
This year’s event will include symposia aimed at raising awareness about societal challenges such as honor-based abuse, leveraging the cultural heritage of the Mboa Sawa-UK group. The Mboa Sawa-UK organization is made up of a dynamic and diverse group of individuals of Cameroonian descent and their partners from various backgrounds. They strive to use culture as a powerful tool to address societal issues and promote unity.
Mboa Sawa-UK continues to use cultural experiences to foster a symbiotic relationship between African traditions and British society, helping to bridge communities and create a shared cultural understanding. Through this event, they celebrate culture as a means of expression, learning, and community building.
